Partnair Flight 394 was a chartered flight which crashed on 8 September 1989 off the coast of Denmark 18 km north of Hirtshals. All 50 passengers and 5 crew members on board the aircraft perished, making it the deadliest civilian aviation accident involving an all-Norwegian airline company. It was also the highest death toll of any aviation accident involving a Convair 580. It was caused by fraudulent aircraft parts.

discount airlines, bogus parts, the most? meaningful vote is the one made with one’s wallet. It’s high time we realised that the Walmart model should not be applied to flying machinery.

I like the part.. Airlines are vulnerable to bogus parts traders. Yeah? right!… like they don’t notice that they’re getting certain parts up to 70% cheaper! I bet you not one airline rep was convicted in this case… only the parts traders themselves were hauled over the coals. Everyone involved should have been done for manslaughter at least!
