Robotic system developed at Lockheed California Company (Burbank, CA) in the late 1980s that was a little ahead of its time. Used video part recognition, built reconfigurable fixtures, used interchangeable grippers/tools…all within a 30 foot long double-sided gantry robotic system to build a wide variety of aircraft parts.
