WCDN was rewarded by history on this adventure. The Flugplatz is one of the last remaining areas in this region where you can still find the history from the German Wehrmacht and the Luftwaffe. Aircraft parts , cocpit relics and all kind of detailed historical items from the time frame of WWII. This trip was no exeption….

“The Flugplatz ” is just a very small local location where the Wehrmacht had a airstrip and? all that came with it.
You will not find anything by the name,,,as it is just a name we have given it ourselves
thanks for looking and greetings from WCDN

We think that ” great finds ” can be everywhere and anything , just put it in the right context , or ?
My greatest find so for is a not great at all,,,,it was a tiny and very insignificant relic , history wise , but for me it meant? everything finding it
“Keep digging and you will find” is our motto in WCDN .

@1974sharks
Thanks for that.
We tend to feel that the relics found are even ” our ” history so they ( relics ) often stays with us
But we have presented some of them in our videos for all too? look at so hopefully we contribute a little bit to the history and its past , who knows.
Greetings from us.

@siara2011
Any relic can? be worked with to look better than they do coming out of the ground.
The aluminum parts are fragile and cant take ” hard ” procedures like stell or other metals.
We use several methods including wiper blast , acid and alcohol solutions , Crystalized waxing and sometimes just brushing with very soft rotary brushes,
We are not experts at all but we try to do our best to get the relics into a nice presentable condition to share with all.
Greetings from WCDN

Very nice adventure WCDN, thank you for sharing. Concerning the detonator markings shown at 19:03, here is some information. The detonator manufacturer (Rh.S 1940) is Rheinmetall-Borsig AG, Sommerda. This is a common code found on German fuzes (detonators) and fuze components. Hope that? this information is of some use to you. Take care, Geologyjohn in California, USA.
