A training co-ordinator in most any company does exactly that, co-ordinate the training of the people employed by the company. They would ensure that all employees are appropriately trained in all aspects of their jobs along with safety. You do not have to be a pilot for example to ensure pilots are appropriately trained. You just have to know what is required and where to get it. A good training person can be an incredibly valuable asset if they are switched on and make sure all key employees are at the cutting edge of what is relevant to their job. You should know that your boss will also require some training from time to time.
Hope this helps Jackson.
