I bet it’s nice knowing how to fly. I would learn how to fly but I have cerebral palsy. Anybody that has cerebral palsy is always automatically banned from learning how to? fly by the FAA.

@Tyler2908KU For instance, in South Africa the minimum age for PPL is 16 and that’s a full license (cessna) not a student one. Get your facts straight! The world does not revolve around one governing body.

@TrippyRandomTV The legal age is not the same in all countries. For instance in South Africa it’s 16. Next time stop and think before speaking.

Not sure about USA, but in the UK its 14 to start your training, u can only go solo at 16 and get your full licence at 17! look at the FAA website – are u thinking of doing it?

I pay 80 dollars an hour for a c152 and around 90 dollars for 2 hours of ground and flight instruction. all together everything will cost around 7000 dollars to get to about 50 hours. 6000 to get to 40 hours, which is the minimum. Definitely start in highschool. I too am pursuing a career in aciation and am also in highschool (junior)
