Is it required to have plane renters insurance throughout the entire time of your training or until you take your first solo flight? Is it even required at all? Where is the cheapest place I can find it? So far I’m leaning towards AOPA’s insurance coverage but I’m pretty new to this stuff.
Thank you.

most flight schools already HAVE some kind of insurance….
usually with something like $250 or $500 deductible.
Ask the flight school….hopefully you will never need it!

Not usually… Renter insurance is generally purchased after you have a pilot certificate and are no longer the responsibility of the flight school.

It varies by the school.

It’s paid for by the school while you are training.
