@MrSamanosuke78 FYI, you can get the hawk sky in the uk, I got one recently. Cheap and cheerful little plane! I got mine from nitrotek.co.uk
I haven’t flown an rc plane since I was a kid some 20 odd years ago so got this to re-learn and have a bit of fun in my local park, the maiden flight was faultless – think it’s going to give hours of fun
not bad for a shade over £100 inc 2.4ghz radio etc

I’m not familiar with that airplane, but I have flown 2 channel trainers (throttle and rudder) and I think they are great. Without elevator control, it is much harder for a beginner to stall the airplane. Even with the 4 channel Hawk Sky, I recommend using only the elevator trim for your first flights.
I’m glad you have enjoyed my videos and I hope you love flying.

@Davethebluessinger
Thanks for the Kudos Dave. Much appreciated.
The bands were intended to help me differentiate left and right. However, I found that at a distance, I couldn’t distinguish the colors easily enough. If I was going to do it over again, I would mark just one of the wings since the two color marks look too similar in flight.

Firstly a BIG thanks for all your time and effort in making these instructional videos! (kudos to the cameraman too!)
I’ve never really had much inclination to fly but watching your videos has hooked me into to learning to fly RC planes!
I have a MAJOR birthday this week and I’m hoping my wife will pick up on the hints and get me the HawkSky!
I notice on your plane that you have bands of different colours on each wing? Is this to help you with the planes orientation at distance?
Cheers
Dave

Hey thanks a lot Mr. Pecan or how about the nutty professor ? lol Hey Gr8 video ,very informative and exciting to watch. There is so much info that I have to keep on rewinding and listening again. You make a gr8 teacher. Thanks so much. Hey my hawk sky is all built and I am waiting for myDC6 lipo charger before I go ahead and fly. I don`t want to dischage the battery too much for the first flight.

Great Video! I just ordered this plane on line and want to know how tough it is. If I take it high in the sky and do a vertical dive at full throttle, then will it be able to handle the G-Force of a quick and full elevator loop? In the past I have snapped the wing on a gas powered ARF with this maneuver. I’m just getting started with the electric RC planes and am looking forward to the simplicity of same. Also, can you tell me how long it takes for the stock battery to recharge? Thanks!

Hey Bob. Thanks for watching my videos.
I will make a video talking about flight controls and maneuvers. I’ll try to have it up in the next couple of weeks.

Hi Pecan,
Can you make a video that goes over flight controls, like what controller inputs you are using when doing turns or different maneuvers. please let me know what you think and if my request is clear.
thanks,
Bob

Hey RC. Yup, the whole thing was on a tripod. Our next couple of videos seemed more stable. I think my cameraman is getting used to balance zoom vs stability with our camera.
Thanks again for watching and commenting.

really? The video of you standing and talking does seem very stable, but the video following the plane through the air certainly doesn’t seem as though you did

Thanks Bob. I hope this helps make some first flights a bit easier.

Nice video, I didn’t really think about the trim tab as a beginner helper before.

Thanks for the tip. Is it too sad to tell you we did use a tripod? I’ll have to read up on how to make motion videos steadier.

Good flying and helpful tips but I have one word for the person on the camera
TRIPOD
The video is hard to view because of all the shaking. Tripods can be used as a cheap steady cam or a ground platform
