With me it depends on who im behind.. I noticed that some people I can never get a good lock, its as if my missiles bump off their jet as if they had some sort of forcefield.. while other players my missiles lock and hit everytime.. Still trying to figure out the cause of that…

i disgree, 1st missile always hits with me, and 2 nd one, its quite rare any f-35 survives the first 2 missiles if u do it right, but thnax to patch 1.5 it looks to me like f-35 will be pawning just as hard now, in the air that is, f-35 has always had the best bombing features becoz of its slow traveling speed:D

no, actually, the “object” that makes the heat source in which the missiles lock on, is INSIDE the jets engine in j10, but in f35 it is RIGHT OUTSIDE the nozzle
and f35 hitboxes are HUGE, thats why it is that easy to use guns on them, and why missiles have a better chance of hitting the target

also on my joystick i lower my throttle to around 800 speed on screen that way when im in f35 i dont overshoot them, one other thing is that at this speed they will almost match it to rearm with 2 bombs and this is there most vunerable position to machine gun fire too.

Yeah but then they know you’re behind them, and can dodge your missiles (although that’s hard to do).
Personally, I like to get as close as possible to them without alerting them of my presence. This way, when you do it they have even less time to react.

i’ve never been able to kill J-10s in the past, yet this had made killing them so much easier!
the thing is…if you get close enough to the enemy, they don’t have time to react to your missiles and therefore can’t flare fast enough.
