I am 13 and live in Minnesota. I would like very much to become a helicopter pilot, but I want to know how old i have to be to attend flight school. I don’t want a license yet, and I know the age is 16 for a student license. Does this mean I have to be 16 to go to school?

Legally, there is no minimum age to learn to fly. You are correct that you must be 16 for a student pilot license, which is required to solo, but you can start instruction at any age. However, the flight school may have its own policy setting a minimum age.
