I want to become an airline transport pilot, the kind that fly the big 747planes on international flights. Does anyone have any helpful information on that school or the profession, that will help? Also has anyone ever heard of Farmingdale state universty of New York and how does their flight program compare to Embry Riddle’s?

To begin, the 9/11 terrorists did park a white van on Embry Riddle’s property and some of them did test flights in the area, but that has no significance on the school.

My sister in law attended Embry Riddle, and it is a wonderful school. She studied Ergonomics there, and she absolutely would recommend the school because it is highly professional, has a mixture of age groups and ethnicities, and an overall strive to educate their students for those willing to put in the work.

I have not heard of Farmington, but in both cases, a campus tour would be beneficial, a cost analysis, and a list of alumni, which usually shows current employment, can all assist you in your needs. Also, Embry Riddle, not too far from the beach!
