a flight school will be much cheaper but you wont get a degree.. and if you want to fly for a major airline, then you need a 4 year degree.. although it doesnt have to be aviation related.. they just wanna see that you went to college.. corporate aviation is the same way but you may be able to get by without a degree if you have a resume full of experience.. look at what your overall goal is.. do you wanna have a long successful career in the airlines?? do you wanna fly corporate?? how about freight?? or maybe be a tour pilot?? each area has different requirements when it comes to getting a degree, and how many hours are needed..
