I am currently going to college for my Bachelor’s in Criminal Justice and plan to take flight lessons this summer. What else do I need to do to to better my chances of being accepted? Also, how long is helicopter flight school? I know that I must graduate Officer School first, but what should I expect upon applying? Thanks, Alan
forget about the degree in Criminal Justice.
Get a degree in electrical engineering, physics, or aeronautical engineering.
Good look to you, lad.

For my husband it took over three years from the basic school (your first school after you get comissioned) to his FRS (Fleet replenishment squadron). Which includes all the flight schools, primary, advanced, etc. Your chances are probably pretty good already with the marine corps expanding right now but taking the flight lessons should help.
