I’ve read that West Point graduates can attend helicopter flight school. What are the requirements?
If you graduate from West Point you can pretty much dictate what you want. Army flight school is not as restrictive as the Air Force. You must pass the flight aptitude test, physical fitness test, maybe an oral review board. I’m not too sure on some of this, so try army.com or talk to a recruiter, and best of luck! Flying for the military is like no other job on the planet.

Actually, TOP graduates usually get what they want. If you graduate dead last, like Custer did, you have to get what’s offered to you.

You’re probably better off with the Naval Academy if its helicopters you want, the Army lets CWOs fly and if you can become a Marine officer, they guarantee you a shot at flight school basically. Don’t know as much about how Army flight school works, but that’s something to look into. Also, make sure you look into the ROTCs.

100% if you’ve got the eyes. The vision requirements for West Point used to be 20/50 corrected to 20/20. The requirements for pilot training were 20/20 uncorrected. It may be different now but that’s the way it was in the day.
