The last few times that I have flown on an airplane I have gotten different kinds of infections that include fevers. About a year ago I flew on a plane and got 2 different infections which lowered my immune system a lot. Then I got Bronchitis on top of the infections and got stuck in the hospital for my vacation and now I am worried about flying again this summer.

You would probably get more useful tips if you put this in the travel section, but I don’t know if YA allows you to edit the category.

Bring your own pillow or neck pillow. Bring your own little blanket and try to dress in warm clothing. Never use the airline blanket or pillow unless it is fresh and plastic wrapped.

Turn OFF the air vent! Why have other peoples recycled breath blowing directly into your face? The guy in the very back of the plane coughing his head off might as well be in the seat next to you.

Bring a little bottle of hand sanitizer to use when you get back to your seat. I’m not a germ phobe and never use the stuff except on airplanes.

If you remove your shoes for sleeping be sure to slip them back on before using the lavatory. Airplane lavatories are, unfortunately, disgusting (even in first class).

Drink lots of water starting the day before your flight and again after you reach your destination. Don’t drink too much alcohol so your body is as strong as possible.

I travel all the time, and I have learned these tips after many illnesses!
