My sister always wanted to fly a helicopter, so I want to get her a helicopter lesson/course of lessons for her birthday this year, or something like that. I know that you can get rides but can you get actual lessons?
Can anybody recommend a good school/company that might do something like this, preferably in the west midlands close to Worcester/Birmingham area?
Personal experience/recommendation would be a plus.
Thanks in advance!

If you go to Iran all you need to have a license for is how to take of.

Can’t offer personal experience as I’ve never done a helicopter flight myself, much less a lesson. However I do have a lot of experience in the ‘experience days’ marketplace so can tell you what’s available there. A lot of the helicopter experience days offered by companies such as Virgin and Red Letter Days include components where you take the controls and get to try out flying yourself but often this would be for only a few minutes (in fact some of the experiences only involve a few minutes flying so check the details). However some of the experience day companies actually offer introductory helicopter flying lessons suitable for someone who wants to have a go/see if they like it/make a start on learning to fly. There’s a list of these on the link below. Hope this helps.
