so i have a interest in becoming a helicopter pilot, so for example say you get all your training, work as an instructor, then for some oil company and so on, how long with the pay you will be receiving on average does it take to pay for all your training
cool 8 years isnt bad thats like most schools and i have the gi bill to pay for about 60% so like 4 i guess for me, oh and joining the military guy, yea been there done that

I have a buddy who went through the full professional pilot program at Hillsboro Aviation (and subsequently became an instructor there to build time). He started at age 20. He is now 28 and claims that he just made his last loan payment last fall. No idea what his current salary is, but he has worked for several different helicopter outfits over the years since his schooling, and now works at a well known helicopter outfit in Alaska. He has had to live like a bum to make his loan payments, until now. Now he only lives like a semi-bum.
