so i have an electronics project….DUE TOMORROW!! lol i completely forgot about it. Anyways, i’ve got an rc helicopter lying around but no controller for it. so i was thinking that somehow i can rig up my ps1 controller to it to make it fly. please, i need your help to acheive my goal. how do i do this?

Do you have a radio transmitter? If not, you’re basically attempting the impossible. If so, you still have a pretty big job. You’ll need to:
1) Convert the analog outputs from the PS1 controller to digital.
2) Output the digital signal in the form the controller’s modulator wants (likely some version of PCM).
3) Separate the transmitter’s digital encoder from its analog encoder.
4) Splice your digital signal to the transmitter’s analog encoder in place if its signal.
5) Test and calibrate.
This will, at minimum, require an appropriate microcontroller with at least two analog inputs (or a suitable ADC, 8 bits is fine). You’ll need to know how to wire, program, and debug the controller.
This assumes you can figure out how to get the controller into analog mode. If not, you’ll probably need digital stabilization on the helicopter. This can be done if the helicopter is large enough. See, for example, Align’s 3G ‘flybarless’ system.
