This video demonstrates how to practice rudder and cyclic control while the tail of the helicopter is pointed towards you. Try to keep the helicopter in a relatively small area. Please SUBSCRIBE so you see it as soon as it comes out. e-mail mikey@mikeysrc.com if you have and questions. This is part of a video series teaching you how to eventually fly full function 6 channel RC helicopters. The plan is to start you out on a coaxial helicopter, teach you the basics which are broken up into easy to learn and practice steps. Once these skills are mastered you are ready to move on to a 6 channel helicopter.

I dont think this could be done by a beginner with a single blade setup like the blade 120 sr..at least I dont think I am that good enough to do it in such a small space;? coaxials are easier of course where single blades seem autonomous

@Penton7 A little bit of “roughness” is normal. The teeth of the motor / gear are straight cut and are not completely “smooth” Also the pull form the motor magnets will make if feel choppy when spinning slowly. Glad you like the? vids. Tell your friends about MikeysRC =)

@MikeysRC Thank you for your time. is it bad if it feals kinda like spinning a gear?? Greate videoes by the way

@Penton7 Yeah trim all the way down for starters. Rotor should spin about 1 revolution with a gentle spin if the motor / gears and? brushes are all OK.

When I shall try to hoover it? for my first time, should I take the trim of the throtle all the way down? and if I spin the main rotor by hand, how should it feel?
Thanks =)

@MikeysRC Thanks, is it ok for me to fly in mode 2 i? think it is, where the right stick controls rudder because i struggle with the right stick controlling rudder and ailerons, i only have a basic coax 4ch which was cheap, but once i learn to fly better do u have any suggestions for a reasonable priced fixed pitch choppa for relative beginner?

@lukeer32 Yeah when the angle of the heli changes from vertical you will? need to add more throttle to maintain the same height.
#16 by lukeer32 on February 19th, 2012

when i move my heli it looses all its height and i have to add throttle? to keep its height
is that normal?
