out of the box and load an hour. I tried to turn it on and nothing seems to have a contact but suddenly started operating. After half a minute it died.I can not go back because I got to Peru. It was a very bad purchase.

Received a defective toy. Seller suggested an alternate product but did not offer any information on the suggested substitution. Getting a refund took some time and I am out the cost of shipping it back.

This helicopter flew very well just out of the box. I am a beginner and from the start I could control it a make it go where I wanted it to go. Then after about 6 flights with what I would class as hard landing or soft crashes, things went down hill. After a very soft planned landing the charge ran down, then after charging the helicopter became uncontrolable. There is no visible damage to the rotors or fusalage. I tried new batteries in the controller but it still flops around like a dragon fly on crack. I have had the same experiance with other micro helicopters so I am writing all of the off.

I just purchased one of these palm sized helicopters, as well as a larger helicopter, and a palm sized Chinook. Of them all, this one was simplest to get off the ground, tune in the trim, and chase the cat around the house with. It seems to be able to take a beating really well. I’ve flown it into the ceiling, dropped it from several feet after losing line-of-sight with the remote, and ricocheted off many walls and other obstacles. These are great for any beginning flier, and are well worth the cost. You may want to order more than a couple though because the battery charge just never lasts long enough.
The small (palm sized) Chinook helicopters are a lot of fun as well, but have a shorter flight time, and take a bit more work to get the trim adjusted. Also, while in flight, you will need to keep readjusting the trim as the battery wears down. If this is not a worry to you, they are great fun. I would be hesitant to give one of the Chinook models to a minor.
I would highly recommend getting the smaller sized models though. My larger helicopters, all Shuang He 735 Performer 3.5D (model number 735-75A), broke in their first falls. I was able to exchange the first one with little problem(at a mall kiosk), but the second one is now just a project for me to try and redesign/rebuild. The larger helicopters all seem to have very weak tails, and will break where the support struts meet up. These larger ones also displayed a much slower response time in control. If you don’t mind trying to rebuild your toys, then the larger size may just be for you, but get a small one to play with while the glue dries.

This is the third micro helo that Santa has brought. This one was a lot of fun for a brief period. The third channel was a welcome challenge and added control. We got about 10 charges out of it and one of the control stabilizers attached to the propeller broke. The helo will not fly without it. This piece is so small and fragile I can’t believe it wasn’t added to the kit. This part is not available for replacement. The kit came with a replacement tail rotor that never saw any hard action. I considered a 2 star rating but the toy was fun while it lasted.
