can an airline pay for my aviation academy?

I don’t know if this is true but i once heard that sometimes airlines pay the cost of the aviation academy as long as the pilot works for them afterward. I don’t know if this is completely true, missing some major parts or not true at all please i need all the help i can get on the subject. thanks in advance

I would love to know from all airline pilots
a) how did you become an airline pilot, eg highers taken, A levels, how your career progressed.
b) If you went to an airline training place like ‘cabair’ or ‘oxford aviation’ of ‘flight training europe’ what it was like and what are the chances of bing sponsered with an airline whilst you are there.
3) if they sponser you do they pay most of the cost, or do they like ‘lend’ you it untill you pay them back in future years.. etc

Aviation: Instrument training, Visual Descent Point?

Hello Im an Instrument Student and I have a question. Why not all the Approach plates have a Visual Descent Point (VDP)? Im doing training in Opa Locka, FL and I was looking at the app plates and RWY 9L GPS approach has a Visual Descent Point (1.1NM) but GPS RWY 27R doesnt have one… why is that? Is there a way to determine it without having to look at it on the app plates?

I am unable to recall the movie name. But it is all about Aviation part, it is not a new movie.

Due to some accident on board and it successfully lands safely . Funny part is a old lady who was on board during an accident ,once arriving not to a original destination , but for return ticket she tells “I was holding a “First class ” ticket but lost on board “.
But old lady was not actually holding a “First class” ticket . What is the name of movie??? Or any movies which is related to industry please tell me.

Does any part of the government have authority over private air travel? If not, can planes fly into America from overseas without any trouble?
I’m just curious as to how strict the regulations would be. Considering airport security for commercial flights is so extreme, it seems like private flights would be under quite a bit of supervision.

I’m interested in aircraft and recently saw a video of an airplane almost landing on its tail. The comments were talking about a flare, but I haven’t been able to figure it out as nothing really explains it. All I have been able to find out so far is that it is a part of the landing. What are the top five aviation movies? My criteria; the aircraft used are (look) believable for the time period of the movie. The flight scenes look real, the movie has a decent story line. oh, and a lack of crappy plot lines, that lend nothing to the movie, and distract from the most important parts i. e. cool air-to-air shots of the aircraft!
Here are my top five;
1. Rudy, has nothing to do with flying, and everything to do with Notre Dame
2. Flying Leathernecks, great actual combat footage, decent story, F6F hellcat and F4U corsair air-to-air footage (oh and MARINE pilots! Semper Fi!)
3. Memphis Belle,B-17′s, P-51′s, Me-109, Combat footage, excellent Aerial footage,decent story, ok acting.
4. Battle of Britian, forget the story and acting, Spitfires! Hurricanes!, He-111′s, Me-109′ s(although the German A/C were actually Spanish)
5. The Blue Max, George Peppard at his most evil, GREAT air to air action, with actual period replicas!
