Every single Check Ride the examiner is going to ask you these things about your Aircraft.You need to make sure they are current, and filled out. The story I want to tell here is I failed My First Private Pilot Check Ride! The one Big Mistake we made, every time we talked about Aircraft Logbooks, they were always locked up in the Mechanics Office! So we went through all the Helicopter Training and The PTS, The Practical Test Standards, but failed to ever get our hands on the logbooks, that’s where we messed up. I was a nervous wreck anyway, one of the first things the FAA Examiner wanted to do was look at Schweitzer Aircraft Logbooks. So we get them, then he says show me the last 100 hour inspection! It was not a New Helicopter, so there were lots of entries. As I am going through page by page, the examiner is huffing and puffing, tapping on the desk, writing things down, as of course I become more and more nervous.
