Cadet Aviation Training Program – USCG Air Station San Francisco

I spent five days at USCG Air Station San Francisco, throughout this time I worked in various shops and areas of the air station. -Monday I worked in the Ops Center, similar to a 911 dispatch center. -Tuesday I worked with Aviation Mechanic Technicians (AMT) in the morning and Aviation Electronic Technicians (AET) in the afternoon. -On Wednesday I was lucky enough to participate in a familiarization and coastal security patrol flight. I also flew in the Co-pilot’s seat and helped with radio frequencies and traffic awareness. -Thursday I was invited to workout with the rescue swimmers, needless to say they are the elite! Much respect to them! I also participated in a full flight gear swim for 75 yards. -Friday I traveled to USCG Station Golden Gate to go underway with an Auxiliary vessel for “Helo Ops”, as you can see from the video it was quite an awesome experience! I want to sincerely thank the United States Coast Guard for all that they do!
