R/C Gyroscopes for Helicopters (Revision 1) How they work.

Piezoelectrics do not use magnetic force to align as I said in the video. They just look for movement. This video was made to dwell on what we had 35 years ago. This was “New Technology” back then, as RC helicopters became another important part of RC modeling. Here I demonstrate how the old Gyros worked with a motor and flywheel (which drew lots of battery power) and explain how these gyroscopes actually worked then and now. Today’s Piezoelectric chip gyros are not that much different, using the same “feedback” principal. Only today we have simple, no moving parts, light weight, Piezo electric “Movement Sensors” to help. You can get them from Xheli.com at this link. www.dpbolvw.net Again thanks for watching, and fly easy! Dave
