@ ESP100pm : I saw speed and angels too. But i’m afraid that can’t be him ‘cos in Speed and Angels Jay was in the US NAVY flying F-14 and later F-18 while these guys are Thunderbirds from the US Air Force they fly F-16′s. Plus Jay is not in the pilot list on the Thunderbirds website.

this was a12.8g turn it must have hurt a bit. I was told by a f-16 jock that the new f-18′s E @ F’s can pull 12+g pitch up and snap turns I bet the SU-37 could to (if there was one left) I wish 2′nd SU-37 was not made into a SU-35 and they would take it to airshows I would love to see it live I love fighter jets.

Thanks for that 10g turn “Max” before landing. Looked like airspeed went from 450kts to 180kts in 2 seconds. Serious decelleration! The F22 is the only plane on the planet that can make a turn like that at 100ft! I wonder how many circuits popped in the F15 when the firehose blew about 50 gallons of water into the cockpit???

Haha, dont worry, those comments did not go in vain. I understood perfectly. Just understand that we are on youtube, the place where some peoples skulls are so thick that you would need a chizzle to get anything into there head.

“THAT’s why you don’t see airliners with delta wings.”
And how many airliners do you see cruising around at supersonic speeds today ?

“MiG-21′s LES = 57°
EF’s LES = 52° (5° less than the MiG)
F-22′s LES = 42° (10° less than the EF)”
F-18′s LES = 20°
I guess we have ourselves a winner ! …

“Hi-sweep angles causes the upper boundary layer to “detach” sooner with increasing AoA, creating turbulence, drag, and loss of lift.”
So surely if it’s that simple then the F-22 with a greater wing leading edge sweep angle than the F-18 must automatically have poorer performance due to the factors you mention ?
