Helix is shown flying in my garage and being landed in my hand for size comparison and maneuverability for a friend of mine who wanted to see a movie of it. (There’s 2 parts to this video, so watch it all) Too bad about the battery/fire issue. lipos require a special handling and charging that I am familiar with. I am sure other products with lipos are going to get the same kinds of feedback. Be that as it may, lipo batteries are amazing since their advent for us modelers. The manual that came with the Helix has full size warnings and 4 pages about the Lipos too. More than adequate, but sh*t happens, eh? It was just a fluke that I had my tiny Aiptec camera there and shot this video. Sorry there is no wide angle lens. It would have been easier to keep the heli in the picture too. Wanna see how it works?? See this link: www.youtube.com

Yes, these inexpensive helis do not compensate for battery decreasing. I had to trim mine a lot too.

please keep in mind my understanding of not “blaming the product” when due to pilot error. I think one motor might not be putting out full power, so when I tell it to go forward it goes diagonal with a slow turn rather than forward and with major manipulation to get it to begin to go it does for a few feet then pauses and hovers and again goes directional, but never letting off the direction stick.

mine tends to go directional for a mere 2 seconds then pauses, then goes my direction again, I also think one fan motor is more powerful than the other thus not allowing me the possibility of forward thrust… any ideas besides using my walmart warranty I bought with the copter? (lol that they even off the electronic 1 year free replacement warranty on these)

That is an “elevator Heli” with no cyclic head steering, so it will never be easy to control.

Yes, they are hard to control and need more room.

i have a kind of helicopter but it is a dragon fly like creature, and it is very hard to manover, especially in small places since it is big,

Blade MCX, And CX2 have replaced this and are much more controllable as far as models go. The Russians have a full scale helicopter that is also coaxial. It is really is fast, maneuverable and deadly. It holds 2 people.

couldnt we just scale this up for 1or 2 people to fly?

NOpe, it would spin and spin, and there also would not be enough lift.
